This is the dumbest thing I've seen all day.
And Thats after watching Fox News, CNN, a Donald Trump speech and a Hilary Clinton rally

 

Resetting the server would set a precedent of resets in the future. If we were to reset the server now, players would realize that the server could reset any time in the near future (in other words, people would say: "it reset a few months ago, what would prevent people from resetting it now?") Therefore, the server environment wouldn't be conducive to community building, as people simply wouldn't really put any effort into the server. (Again, "It reset a few months ago, why even try to put effort into building/talking/not being toxic when the server will just be reset in a few months?")

 

Holy god its like talking to children. Every single time someone mentions this idea, the server loses money, because people are incredibly hesitant to actually want to donate until a decision is made. Even after that decision is made, there is a lingering fear that they might lose their investment. How many times do you have to be told this?

At losing 909/1331 of our player base every two months we will be a bit under a third of its June player base in a month. Though I actually have noticed a turn of players lately, my town has actually been growing slightly, it might be temporary. Still it is a slight reversal which is good.

 

He's not talking about player count, he's saying when we runout of money to pay to keep the server running

if this server is reset, me and many others will lose hard-earned meebles and towns that we have poured so much time into. can't we just get a definitive "no reset" from the staff and be done? I'm kinda tired of all these threads trying to change peoples minds about a reset...

What makes people think more people will join if we reset?

 

If we bring back a dozen or so people, but lose 50 or more of the active players you see in shout, its just not worth it lol
The staff would stay the same?

 

I see the rationale behind this... some towns were build by Ults with fly, higher ranks had an advantage in getting certain items etc. It would level the playing field for everyone but I don't think its worth it given that rank sellers will probably outright quit.

In the current state of the server what gives rank sellers a reason to sell ranks? There is nothing to spend meebles on in the first place.

 

The only things I would mind loosing are heads in general, since you can't get the head of someone that has been inactive

Long as I got my money and some items I don't care, But if we reset most of the players would quit and instead of being at 60. We will be at 20.
