reset meep

No one would perm quit. You would all come back because there would finally be something to do. Old players that come back would actually stay too. But of course lots and lots of things need to happen before you could reset that are never going to happen becuase this server is done for.

 

Honestly, I would. If I don't have the infrastructure already made, it gets so annoying to have to build back up. Plus, from my perspective, if the server resets, it tells me we will reset again in the future, and investing my time is no longer worth it.

 

Like I said previously. I have other things to do in life. Meep is an amazing form of entertainment, but if you set a precedent for resetting the server we will lose any sliver of hope that we have for saving the server and its player count.

Instead of posting forums like these that create a divide between players and further weaken the community, we should be focusing our time and energy on community events and cool videos to promote meep and increase player retention.

 

All a reset would do is just make the rest of our playerbase leave. We need to find a better solution than just clearing things.

 

-1million This idea is not acceptable because I've seen only a fraction of players' builds and they are incredible. Resetting meep would be so so sad and upsetting to all those players who have dedicated their time it and would create anger and frustration and as i've seen on a few servers at least 20% of the server's players tend to leave elsewhere. Meep has about 200 different players online at different times and 20% of that is 40 players. Would you be prepared to risk the departure of at least 40 players? I think not. Therefore i conclude that this is a bad idea. And considering the Eula change created the departure of a few players, I would not risk this.

The only reason I'm still trying to get my account back is because of what I've built and helped build in meepcraft. A reset would most definitely make players, new and old, quit the server. Additionally, you would only create a distrust in the community as many players would be busy wondering if/when the server will reset again, further damaging the player retention we've been working so hard to build.

 

Reset Meep. Cant get any worse than what it is now.

 

Aren't you leaving the server and all your possessions/meebles?

 

I bet over 75% of the current active players only come online to talk with people that they know. So a reset would not stop them from doing so and it would also give them a reason to earn something again.

And..... you're losing all emotional connection you have to "physical" possessions on the server, not to mention all your moolah...

I just find it ironic that the person who has just severed all emotional connection he has to this server's items and non-player attributes finds it completely okay to reset the server, of course, after he has finished this separation...

It just feels awkward that you of all people now thinks a reset is fine, when you have nothing to do with the main force driving people to be against a reset...

Yet players who come on just to talk are not paying for upkeep anymore. We need to be more concerned about players who will continue playing for the sake of the fun, even without friends.

People who worked hard for their towns, ranks and meebles will be very disappointed.

I've always enjoyed restarting games like one of those farm games or like virtual city playground because I know I'm not gonna die, I just like a fresh start.

However, meep is different obviously. what about all those ranks, will they be refunded? what about the legends, do we get legend back? there will be a lot of controversy. some people like fresh starts. some people like the normal. people will probably leave, I sure won't because I would like to see how meep is like.
