[Staff Application] - TheAngelEclipse

I understand that interaction with players is important, as I have seen many servers fail because of lack of interaction between staff and players, but that was all on a LARGE scale.

In Angel's case, a few people seem to not be able to get a reply in the timely manner they were expecting. Simply playing devil's advocate, I'd say player, be patient (it is a virtue), and Angel, try to be timely in replying to everyone.

That post wasn't comparing "real" from "sarcastic." It was comparing "necessary" and "unnecessary as well as "supportive and encouraging" from "degrading and confusing." As stated all comments need not be flames, or simply stating the opinion, they should have explanations, and tips on how to change the applicants actions or thoughts to better acquaint the community.

Meepcraft isn't "crappy" just needs a bit more love and care as well as attention overall so that it can be molded into the server the owner envisioned, and that players will enjoy for a long time

Getting your sister unstuck and/or joining... "not-just-now"?
If you are going to say "work on these things", you might want to include the things to work on, obviously.

EDIT: Sorry, got to mention this. Who the hell is HuntFishLive? Most of your arguments are against voting a -1 for someone that is new. Well of course I will vote -1, when I (people) barely know a person that is going to get power over me (us), no matter what he/she says or how well she behaves. I would prefer to get used to a person before I decide to give her my "blessing". And you, an unknown for us, counterargumenting on every -1 is really inappropriate.

 

The things with a dash before them, and most everyone knows the getting my sister stuck on this music is a joke .

 

Typically the xD face indicates a touch of sarcasm. In the case of @Snotrod2000 I believe this was the case.

Ignoring your apparent sister joke, as our fellow HuntFishLive handily pointed out, your only negative point is that she joined recently. I see how one can work on "these" things. Next time, you might want to say something around the lines: Apply later. Would save you a couple of words.

 

I'm thoroughly impressed on how active you are on the three aspects of the server along with your patience when helping people. Honestly, I even imagine how my tidbit of trolling with you on Teamspeak would actually affect my opinion.

"Trusting others has always been an issue for me, as I try not to be too naive. From experience in working Retail as my first job, I was often lectured on how I need to have more confidence and stop asking so many questions. The thing is, I prefer to take my time to get the job done right - even if that means asking dull questions. Another slight weakness of mine is as stated above, taking control. I understand where my place would be, but sometimes if I feel I have a great idea, I may be a little too persistent to be heard."

That specific part of the application bothers me. When you want to do things right, you should always ask your questions. It's always better to be 100% sure with many questions than 90% sure with no questions. Don't fret over how many questions you ask, but how you learn from them. Also, when you state that it's hard for you to trust people, it's very important to trust the team with secrets and other things. The staff team is almost completely made up of bondage and communication with each other.

Your in game activity is very good; every time I come online for a few minutes here and there, you're always online. Likewise, the same goes for your Teamspeak activity, I have yet to see a time where I don't see you online in the Teamspeak channel. Albeit your forums activity isn't the best compared to some others, the activity in the other aspects of the server can make up for it. Your comments aren't meaningless, or just random gifs from the Internet, but actually have an well thought out opinion.

Many comments on your app said "You don't help enough," but not all helping has to be in front of everyone. To be honest, it's not right to purposely help others only in front of people. That would just go on to show that you only want people to notice what you do. In addition, as I said beforehand, there was a time where I was making fun of you as a TeamSpeakUser in the Alpha channel, and you actually went out of your way to help out me when I asked some stupid questions on purpose. To tell the truth, I was very surprised to see you helping me.

Furthermore, the application of yours was very well-written. It stuck to the topic of what you were talking about, and slowly led up to the major point of why you should become staff instead of all of the other applicants. The application had good organization along with great reasoning and past experiences. For instance, not many people spend much time on their weaknesses section, nor do they focus on it as much as the Why or Intro section. In all honesty, I believe that the Weaknesses section is just as important as all of the other sections, if not more so.

Ultimately, I believe that you would be quite the staff member, and that you deserve a +1 from me.

Please stop posting on TheAngelEclipse's helper application unless you have something for Tae. Other why's, please start a conversation with the person you would like to talk to. You are starting to create a lot of spam on this application. Please refrain from posting (unless necessary) or you will be given a warning point.

Though you are very nice, maybe a little bit too nice. I don't see you as ready to be a staff member. You need more time as a player to learn about the server and more time for the players to get to know you.

 

First off, since I'm new I'm not sure if it's okay for me to say my vote or not but here goes. I enjoy talking with you on teamspeak. You seem really cool. When I joined, I thought you had been year for at least a year, that said, you seem like you know your stuff. I don't know if you're staff material or not. I'd like to get to know you better, so I guess I'll say

Simply put, staff comment because it is us, staff, who decide who is accepted into staff. My vote will not change in this matter.

Anyway, -1 simply because you have been here for merely a month. I believe that you would be an excellent helper; however, as Deinen said, you are just too new to have grasped all perspectives and concepts of the server.

 

Never asked anyone to change their rating or opinion ever in that post, yet we are still hanging on that assumption....

It's fine to comment on others and rate them, but too many isn't too good. It's allowed to have one off-topic (I believe).
