I believe you are ignoring some valid points. As a developer, you do not help people. You simply develop plugins and deal with the technical aspect of the server. 2-3 months? No, Techs are usable and not disposable. Those two months will not affect any of his knowledge.

I believe that your problem here is caused by your lack of ability to code. In fact I admire that you are able to create working plugins that people use.
But, I believe that you could have put more effort into the application and also have a more "constructive" attitude.

 

You guys really don't get it. He's applying for tech. Tech is a position that has nothing to do with the community, so no "socializing" time is required. The application does not affect his knowledge.

 

I think you could be a good Tech, even if you joined yesterday.

Lolno. He says he has relesed plugins. Tech is tech. You all complained about Onis modderating while being a "tech" now this guy? Why does a tech need to make a 5+ paragraph essay? If this man can help the server with plugins by all means +1
