    compensate nation owners 200k per town in there nation, compensate town owners based on there amount of residents, give 90k for hamlet, 120k for settlement, 150k for village, 200k for city, 220k for large city, and 300k for a metropolis, also give a 1 month warning.

    onto war,
    War would be mainly decided by nations, not towns, towns would have to join a nation, when they made there town they would have to do /nation 1 /nation 2 /nation 3 and it would show a each nations stats, then they would have to join a nation. nations would chose to fight, they could pay a fee (say something like 20k a day) for neutrality, this would be divided up between towns, in the form of something added to upkeep, which could be payed for by raising taxes, nations could do /n set town (town) (capital) this town would be exempt from upkeep/added nation stuff, this upkeep would be added to the nations upkeep, this would lead to the capital citys of nations being rich, something that is pretty accurate to real life, if a nation doesn't want ot pay the neutrality cost, it is open for declarations of war by other nations, not quite sure how the fights could be, i would suggest something like every time somebody from your nation wins a minigame/gets a kill in kit or something, they would add a % of a point, the first nation to 100 points wins the war or something, but it wouldn't just be anybody from a town, the nations would be able to recruit members to be registered fighters, only there things would go towards the nations scores, the nations would have to pay the fighters, with a minimum pay per fighter being 25 meebles a day, now once a nation won, they would have a few options, they could ransack, wich would make all the losing nations towns switch to the nation that beat thems side, and the losing nations towns would have +1k to upkeep for the next 30 days, the nation would be deleted, along with its nation bank. A winning nation could puppet state a nation, where the leader of the nation that won got 60% of the nations total wealth (60% of all town banks and 60% of the nation banks) but other than that the puppet states would carry on as normal. a nation that felt like it was losing could also surrender, if they surrender they have to pay a "fealty" added to the nations upkeep to the winning nation forever, the fealty would be something like 5-10k a day.
    At this point your probably wondering, why? and the reason is, a lot of meepers, once they become wealthy, start a town and become succesful, lose interest in meep, because there nothing to do. This would add something to do, it would increase our (increasingly vacant) minigame lobbys because people would be worried about the consequenses. It would strengthen our community not fracture it, and would increase the meaning of a nation, while still respecting towns.
    Nations would also now cost 5 million, and immediatly 1mil goes into nation bank.
    As for a reset, I would suggest a meeptax to help the economy, anyone with a balance 1-499k pays no tax, 500k-2999k pay a % of there bal, 3000k-10mil pay a slightly lower percent, and 11mil+ pays a even lower percent, this takes money out of the eco, it encourages working for money and trying to move up instead of "eh, i have 3mil this is boring now". You could also add purchaseable nations/towns for real $$, not sure if this complies with EULA, but it doesn't give an advantage? you could buy a town for 5$ and a nation for 60$?

    nope, only beta (renamed "meep towns") and you have to pay for neutrality. however, there would be NEUTRAL nations, that you could join if you didn't want to worry about losing your cools shit

    Some players or in a case a majority joined Meepcraft because of the lack of fear from losing stuff in a towny war. I personally dislike the idea of joining a towny war. Don't get me wrong, towny wars are fine but I never really found the appeal in it. I mostly joined Meepcraft because of the peaceful atmosphere in towny. There won't be much use as it will kill or slow down community projects as most people will begin fearing that their nation will suddenly be unable to keep up the neutral upkeep. The rich will probably create small towns that will avoid conflict. Also your idea rests on the idea of people WILLING to keep up a nation that has no use aside from keeping neutrality. Only those with large populations or really good players will benefit from such a warring society dependent on minigames.

    Meepcraft is a towny and community driven server or it should be. Something like towny war could be detrimental to the community as it means less stability.

    Also, why just beta? There are a lot of players still in alpha though not as much as beta. I have most of my stuff in alpha as well. This will be a show of favoritism. I say we should just delete the whole lot and create 1 non aggressive towny world like the ones we have rn and one towny war one.

    Based on what you said, I'm going to assume you mean by becoming cramped by the amount of towns right? Well, take all the current towns we have, divide it by 2 since no more dual towns, and that's what we'll have. There's a lot of room rn in towny especially if we reset and combine the worlds. We can even increase the world area if we need to.

    Why shouldn't we? If we have the ability to copy-paste towns and players have something like /warp storage so they can store stuff w/o fear of losing it, there shouldn't be a reason not to. If we even include eco, we can make it like it'll cost 1k per plot to be copied or something like that.

    the largest town in alpha is like, 85 people? theres a smaller difference between compensating the same for a 32 person town and a 85 person town than there is 32 person town and 330 person town.

    Would it be less stable? its a community driven server, and this would boost the community, richer players would care about lesser players for the sake of nation wars, nations would talk more, nations would do things more as a community, and it wouldn't fracture the community into separate nation communitys, it would urge people to chat more, and on your point about people being willing, you really think that there wont be nations that wanna go to war, and with all the nations charging for all the upkeep stuff, they neutral ones would be able to make money by taxing for the neutrality, it would turn them into profitable ventures. also, the initial numbers i threw out for keeping neutrality (20k a day) were very high, however nations would start with 1mil in the bank, wich would supply it for easily enough time to set it up to profit.

    +1. As I said, we need something different. Something that will give people something to do!
    @ajlpikachu I completely disagree. Towny war creates movement in the economy. Besides that, the current suggestions for it allow it to be toggleable, so you can just choose to not be a part of it.
    Just toggle it for crying out loud, nobody is gonna force you to join in a bunch of wars.
    Since when is stability a part of an economy? In any economy, wars help the economy if it isn't costing lives, or wearing out a governement. Funny how we have loads of armor and such, but nobody ever uses it in battle. Last I checked, the majority of armor destroyed on Meep doesn't go out in a battle. People like @legendcaleb have to offer 3 million just to get people in the Terrarium.
    On the flip side, the rich right now have nothing to do, so they quit. When presented a great risk, generally, greater creativity comes out of it. Think of all the economic possibilities wars could create! I would rather neutrality be free, though.

    Not sure what I think of this. I'd be for it if we combine both worlds into one if we take the biomes they're in with them. Loads of towns depend on their natural environment to look nice. I'd like the techs to way in on this possibility. @lordusan @reggles44 @Spyda6 @DBLOSEVN

    You all realize the default towny war option is just horrible right? It's the most stupid convoluted system there is.


    Also you cannot just copy towns over. It's not even a possibility.

    You're making this thread implying that you know what you're talking about, but you don't.

    I'm not going to bring the fact up that I've been here longer than you, but even I don't know what to do to help this server. This server has been in a downwards spiral ever since 2014, is it even possible to bring it back up to an appealing player count?

    Everyone down to Earth would probably say this server is dead. But resetting everything on the server is probably just going to make the little people we have left leave.

    Keep in mind; Its my dream to see this server be the best but sometimes we need to handle the truth.

    We recently denied a towny wars suggestion because it just isn't plausible with the current plugin and resources (tech things) available. You can use /tc and /nc for group chats. We can't allow people to claim in towns nether because of wither spawners and it would create an imbalance in the economy. A reset would cause more harm than good at this point.
